Jennifer Valdes is a first-generation Hispanic American. Brought up in a home of legal immigrants, her battles against domestic violence, teen homelessness, and single mom parenting has created the survivor she is today.
“I understand that no one’s life is easy and we all have our battles but, my decision to share my story is not an easy one, especially when I am as established in myself, my career and my goals. There is still a lot of pain and embarrassment I hold, and even though I am as successful as I am, I still find myself working through a lot of things. My intensions are to be a help to others who have had a similar past or are currently going through their own patch and have stumbled upon me for whatever reason. I have lived many life times and because of that I am eager to share what I have learned in hopes that it would inspire others to find that fire within themselves and seek their own power over their own narrative.” -Jennifer Valdes
